The program features games, sports, movement activities, and team based challenges, all carefully designed to be age-appropriate and engaging. Children develop strength, coordination, and confidence while learning important values such as cooperation, perseverance, and teamwork.
Gardening
At Amazing Grace Early Learning Centre, we believe children learn best through hands on experiences, and our garden is a wonderful place for exploration and discovery. Gardening is woven into our daily program and offers countless opportunities for learning and fun.
Children are encouraged to plant seeds, water and care for growing plants, and harvest fresh produce. These activities help them develop a sense of responsibility, patience, and pride as they see the results of their efforts.
Beyond the joy of digging in the soil, gardening provides rich educational experiences:
-
Sustainability – Children learn how to care for the environment and understand the importance of reducing waste.
-
Healthy eating – By growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs, children discover where food comes from and are more likely to try fresh, healthy options.
-
Science in action – Observing growth, seasons, and insects sparks curiosity and builds early science knowledge.
-
Wellbeing – Gardening is a calming, outdoor activity that supports children’s physical, social, and emotional development.
Through gardening, children not only connect with nature but also develop skills that will last a lifetime.
